What’s Driving Results for iGaming Affiliates in 2025?
Insights from Our Latest Industry Poll
In a fast-evolving iGaming landscape, staying ahead means constantly evaluating which strategies deliver the best performance. At MyAffiliates, we asked a simple but telling question to our network:
What’s the most effective traffic source for iGaming affiliates today?
The results reflect ongoing trends and evolving strategies across the affiliate landscape:
- SEO and Organic Content – 68%
- Paid Ads (Google, Facebook, etc.) – 14%
- Email Marketing – 3%
- Social Media & Influencers – 16%
SEO and Organic Content Lead the Way
A clear frontrunner emerged: SEO and organic content. For iGaming affiliates, this isn’t just about being visible — it’s about building long-term value. High-intent traffic, lower acquisition costs, and resilience against ad platform restrictions make SEO a foundational strategy.
As third-party cookie deprecation and AI-generated noise flood digital spaces, authentic, relevant content built on strong SEO fundamentals continues to drive consistent performance.
Paid Ads: Useful, but No Longer the Core
Paid advertising remains part of the mix, but it’s no longer seen as the go-to channel. Increased ad costs, regulatory scrutiny, and tracking challenges are making it harder for affiliates to justify large-scale spend — particularly in regulated markets.
Affiliates are becoming more selective, using paid ads for testing, brand awareness, or retargeting, rather than as a primary source of acquisition.
Social Media & Influencers: A Rising Force
Interestingly, social media and influencer channels ranked higher than paid ads. The shift toward community-driven marketing reflects how affiliates are adapting to reach new audiences — especially in younger and mobile-first markets.
Influencer trust, live content, and short-form video are creating new entry points, even in traditionally conversion-focused verticals like iGaming.
Email Marketing: Still Relevant, but Not a Traffic Driver
Email marketing received the least attention — highlighting its evolving role. While still effective for reactivation and relationship management, it’s rarely used as a primary acquisition tool anymore. Deliverability issues and privacy regulations are pushing affiliates to rely on it more for nurturing rather than attracting leads.
What Affiliates Can Take from This?
If one thing is clear from this poll, it’s that long-term, content-led strategies continue to outperform short-term traffic plays. For affiliates in 2025, the winning formula lies in:
- Investing in high-quality, evergreen content
- Building SEO authority in niche verticals
- Leveraging authentic influencer partnerships
- Using paid and email strategically, not exclusively
